We’ve won the Beco Sustainable Hero Award!

We’re so proud to be named heroes of sustainable development by this consulanct for sustainable development. The company has awarded us 4 full days of consulting, which means we can get a critical external eye to see if we’ve done our job right without the enormous cost that usually takes!

And if that weren’t enough we’ve won 2500 euros worth of free wind energy from Eneco.

Nice way to start the new year!

Whoa MINT fair was a big success! The new Second Skin Collection that’s coming out next fall was received with real enthusiasm and we’ve got some news: the biodegradable leather BAGS we’ve made are also a huge success! Keep an eye out in the fall, but first:

Sinterklaas Competition

We have a winner! The jury alsmost fought each other on it and eventually decided to award points on Sinterklaasiness, creativity and concept. Finally Marije van Weelden came out on top with her outstanding picture. The difference with second prize-winner Lorenz Kohout’s warm composition was minimal, both scoring high on creativity but eventually Marije won it with her combination of Sinterklaasiness and the bloom in her concept.

Second-prize winner Lorenz and 3rd prize-winner Joris Kramer will receive a nice little OAT Tote!

Thank you to all participants who sent in so many wonderful pictures that the jury had a horrible time picking the best one. Great job!

Fall Bloom!

Last weekend we decided to bloom up Amsterdam with some bright colors to keep everybody’s spirits up..It was the day that we set the clock back an hour here in the Netherlands, so the darkness of night is upon us an hour earlier in the afternoon! Doh!

Early in the morning Mariel and Gert-Jan set out with a big ‘bakfiets’ to spread some bloom around and immediately they got compliments from passers-by. They even started taking pictures with the little bags of bloom. People love some color in the street!
